Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Kenneth Scott was born in Northern Ireland and grew up in Kincardine, Ontario. Enrolling in the Canadian Forces in 1990, he graduated from the Royal Military College in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Commerce. That same summer he completed his Infantry phase training and was subsequently posted to the 1st Battalion The Royal Canadian Regiment in Petawawa, Ontario. From 1994 to 1999 he was employed in various positions including rifle platoon commander, assistant adjutant, transport platoon commander and as the Executive Assistant to the Brigade Commander of 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group. During these five years he deployed with the 1 RCR Battle Group to Croatia as part of Operation Harmony in 1994-95 and to Bosnia on Operation Palladium in 1998. Upon return from Bosnia in 1998, he was sent to Kingston, Jamaica to complete the Jamaica Junior Command and Staff Course.

In the summer of 1999, LCol Scott was posted to the Land Staff in National Defence Headquarters where he worked in the Directorate of Land Requirements. Here he worked on a variety of equipment related projects and was awarded the Chief of Land Staff Commendation for his efforts. After attending the Canadian Land Forces Command and Staff School he was posted back to 1 RCR in the summer of 2003 where he was employed as the Battalion Operations Officer and upon promotion to Major, as the Officer Commanding Combat Support Company. In November 2004, LCol Scott was appointed as the Officer Commanding The Duke of Edinburgh's Company. The following year he deployed with the company as part of the ISAF mission in Kabul, Afghanistan.

In August of 2006, he became the Commanding Officer of the 1 RCR Rear Party while the Battle Group deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan. He was awarded the Chief of Defence Staff Commendation for his efforts while he occupied this position. In the summer of 2007, LCol Scott was posted to Toronto where he attended the Canadian Forces College Joint Command and Staff Programme. During this year he also completed his Masters' degree in Defence Studies. Upon completion of his studies, he was posted back to National Defence Headquarters in 2008 where he was employed as the Infantry Career Manager. Upon promotion to his current rank in 2009, he was posted to Land Staff headquarters where he assumed the duties as Chief of Staff to Director General Land Capability Development. In 2010, LCol Scott deployed to Ramallah, Palestine on Operation Proteus as part of the United States Security Coordinator`s efforts to help advance the Middle East Peace Process.

LCol Scott enjoys spending time with his family and is interested in recreational camping and fishing along with playing, coaching and watching hockey and soccer. He is married to Manon Bettez and they have two children; Lucie and Christopher.

Chief Warrant Officer Kevin Donovan was born in Moncton New Brunswick on June 21st 1961. Chief Warrant Officer Donovan enrolled in the Canadian Forces on the 21st of February 1980. That spring he completed his Basic Infantry training at CFB Petawawa with the Special Service Force Operational Training Detachment.

Upon completion of training he was posted to Bravo Company the First Battalion the Royal Canadian Regiment. He participated in exercises in North Norway with the First Battalion RCR during its Allied Mobile Force (Land) role. He then completed the Basic Parachutist Course, and was subsequently posted to 3 Airborne Commando Canadian Airborne Regiment in Petawawa.

During his service as a paratrooper with the Canadian Airborne Regiment, he completed the Infantry Section Commanders, Pathfinder and Military Freefall Parachutist courses. After promotion to Master Corporal, he was posted to Third Battalion the Royal Canadian Regiment in Winnipeg Manitoba. He deployed to Cyprus with the Battalion in 1986. He completed the Basic and Advanced Mortar courses while serving in 3RCR's Mortar Platoon in Winnipeg.

In 1988 he deployed to CFB Baden Germany with the battalion and participated in numerous REFORGER exercises with Battalion in Bavaria. In 1990, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

In 1990 during the first Gulf War, he deployed as a Rifle Section Commander Mike Company 3RCR in OP Scimitar to Doha Qatar. In 1992 he deployed to Croatia and Sarajevo Bosnia as a Reconnaissance platoon Sergeant with 3 RCR (UNPROFOR).

In 1993 he was posted as a Sergeant to the Lincoln and Welland Regiment in St Catherines Ontario, as part of the newly formed 3 RCR 10/90 Battalion. In 1996, he was posted to the 2 CMBG light Infantry Battalion as a Paratrooper in the RCR Jump Company.

He completed his Infantry Platoon Second in Command Course in 1997 and was promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer in 1998. He then deployed with the newly re-formed 3 RCR to Bosnia in 1999. He served in Bosnia again with SFOR in 2001 as 3RCR Mortar Platoon Warrant Officer.

Chief Warrant Officer Donovan was promoted MWO in January 2006 and served as RCR Jump Company Sergeant Major from 2006 - 2009. During this period he also served in Afghanistan as Company Sergeant Major "Mike" Company, 3 RCR, where he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal.

Chief Warrant Officer Donovan was promoted to his present rank in January 2011. He assumed duties of Regimental Sergeant Major of 1st Battalion RCR on 29 June 2011.

Chief Warrant Officer Donovan and his wife Lori enjoy travelling across Canada. They frequently travel to Winnipeg and Moncton. They have 2 daughters, Alycia and Kayla.
