Regret to report the passing of Howie on 22 April in Edmonton. Howie was RC Sigs and served as PRONTO with 1RCR in Korea. He was awarded the British Empire Medal, in the late 1940's, for parachuting into the arctic to save an injured missionary. A longtime member of the RCR Association, Howie considered himself a Royal. I remember Howie very well,he was my sigs pl officer in London 1954, a first class officer and a true gentleman.
May he rest in peace, Pro Patria.
