The passing of Tom Capstick
« on: March 16, 2011, 02:38:38 PM »
I was sorry to hear today in the London free Press that an old freind Tom Capstick passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 14th. Tom was a good soldier and later proved to be an excellent Correctional Officer in his second career. As a young Sgt., Tom took a section from 1 RCR to Norway and competed in a NATO section Comd competition in whic every member of NATO sent a team. In that competition were teams from Royal Marine Commandos, French Commandos and the US Marines. Tom did us proud and won the overall competition with a first place in every competition. The competiton lasted for five days and tested in all the infantry skills. At age 70 you left us too soon. Pro Patria.
