Once the move south was completed, the Battle Group paraded through the streets of Lahr, wearing the new CF Green uniform they'd been issued before leaving Soest.  The only approved headdress was Caps, Forage, and it would be another five years before an Army CDS, Jadex, approved the beret for walking-out dress.    Aldi

The Canadian Forces Ensign is carried by Captain Ray Crabbe.

CF Green uniforms were issued just before leaving Fort York but berets would not be authorized for walking out
