Car Badge - The RCR
« on: January 20, 2010, 04:15:03 PM »
As I have previously mentioned in other posts I am an avid collector of RCR Cap Badges. One of the items I am seeking is a Regimental Car Badge as seen in the attached photo. They are silver in colour with the center piece, behind the badge coloured Blue, Amber and Black. They were introduced in the Connecting File of Fall 1956.  I have been seeking one of these for quite some time. If you know of where one may be located for sale, please let me know either through the forum or by e-mail.

Thanks

Tim

Tim,

I have one, still in the box, that I bought in the 2RCR Kit Shop in Fort York in 1969.  I had intended to mount it to the grille of my BMW 2002 but never got around to it.  It didn't make it onto the grilles of my Fiat 128, Volvo 244, 1976 Honda Civic, Honda Accord, Mercedes 220, 1977 Volkswagen Camper, Plymouth K-car, Mazda 626, Dodge Shadow, Saturn SL2, Dodge Stratus, Chrysler PT Cruiser, 2001 Volkswagen Camper, 2005 Honda Civic, Honda Odyssey, 2006 Honda or 2009 Toyota Venza, either.  I'm starting to think that it will never see the front of my car and maybe it should reside somewhere else.  It's yours, for nothing but the cost of shipping it from Florida to you.  It deserves a better home than the one it has now.  aldi

Well done to both parties.  Now, where's that list of wanted items I had.....

Seriously, it's good to see it passing into new hands that will care for it appropriately as a piece of our regimental history.

Play nice. Nobody has to dish the Leafs. They are doing well enough on their own. As for my collection,...never. GO LEAFS GO.
