Robert (Bob) Peacock On Thursday, August 27, 2009, in Saskatoon ,Sk after a valiant struggle as only a real soldier would do, Robert (Bob) Peacock, age 60, finally lost the double battle to heart and lung disease and succumbed to a higher reward. Son of the late Gladys and Jim Peacock, loved partner of Janet Halpape, dearly loved father of Sara (Nathan) and the late Tim, and friend of their mother, Dianne, dear twin brother of Bill (Mary) and cherished brother of Ron (predeceased), Eleanor, Shirley, Jackie, Diane, their spouses and many nieces and nephews, and will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and friends. Bob was a proud former member of the Royal Canadian Regiment. He served with the UN as Peacekeeper in Cyprus, and also served with NATO in Fort York Soest Germany. He served his country well. He also served in The Corps of Commissionaires where he received the Commandants Commendation in 1998 (only 17 were awarded in 50 years.) He then went to work for Saskatchewan Property Management where he was employed until his passing. His good nature and open-heartedness will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
