Hi Ron
Could you please send me a copy o the pictures to
Kentar@telus.net
I am tying to find the name to see if it is still there. If it is I might want to take a trip own memory lane and book a vacation there.

Not sure if they are the same hotels we used for leave in Famagusta, in 1970, but the two "UN Hotels" were The Florida and the Marina. When I was back there on my third tour in 1984 the entire city of Famagusta was still under Turkish control and out of bounds to the UN. I did get to see it once from a hill top some distance away and the entire place resembled a ghost town.

Hi all: sorry for such a late reply to this question. Stoney is correct the Hotel close to down town was the Florida, the Hotel farthest out of town was the Marina. I stayed there twice in 1970. When I returned in 1974 as the Coy Coms Driver we were not permitted in Fama G. However the Boss and I spent a night there as guests of Dencon. What I saw of Fama G., was a mess. Unless they have improved conditions since the Turks let all the area previously owned by Greeks go to ruins. At the time 1974 there were any number of boats just rotting in the sand on the beach. Absolutely nothing looked like it did in 1970, so sad as it truly was a beautiful place to visit. Zulu29er

Thanks everyone. Anyone with pictures of Teko Lime Plant, Hill Top, Teds' Farm or either base camp (pig Farm and just out of Kirenia, I would dearly love to have them.
