I am looking for pictures and stories about BC Robinson and I am certain that there are many who frequent this site who knew and served with him.

Here is a picture from the last reunion in Kingston.  This is BC and Ernie Wetzel, a member of the Niagara Branch who recently survived a quadruply bypass. Jim Kacsmerek, Mike gander and myself met up with Ernie yesterday for a pint and I can tell you he is fine spirits and his recovery is proceding without complications.

Awwww Mike I just posted something re BC. He was my first RSM and a better man I know not. As President of the Huronia Branch of CAFA I found out he died last fall but in his own fashion he wanted it quiet. There is a guy in our branch who served with BC in The SAS Company. As well, Jan de Vries is a good friend of mine and I can get some stories from him I am sure.

Outstanding, Jerry. BC was one hell of a Royal Canadian and it is our duty to see that the legend remains alive.

I have to say that BC Robinson was my first RSM too.. and as i learned over the few yrs i was with 1RCR, he is likely the manlegends are made of..idid receive a very sound dressing down from him.. heheheheh.. as i look back it was a big highlight of my career.. i could not have been dressed down by a better nor more knowledgeable man...i am proud of that dressing down.. and of course it was well deserved....likely a lot of the brothers, so fortunate would have so many like stories, as well as the touching parts of him sitting on Santas knee at Christmas in Cyprus 1974.. tho there have been many top notch RSMs and CSMs i know, i believe BC sits at the top.. but i do not put any of them down , in any way.. they were all top soldiers and very fair and just men...i guess what i am saying , is that BC is alone at the top.. he is a legend and more.. and a top person to boot, as they all have to be...or the time the Sgts had the bear in the Sgts mess in Pet... whoooeee.. some Sgts got a tongue lickin that night...heheheheh...a legend , a man, whom no one could outdo.. tho you'd never know it by just looking....i just know he is at the right hand of God, he could be no where else....ranrad

Well said Ran, I remember B just talking to us young boots, jack us up yet make us feel proud to have actually take the time to talk to us and pass on some traditions and on how to act, behave and be a Canadian soldier, but once JACKED UP by the man you never forgot it! Nor did you ever repeat it. Again, well said Ran.
